AUTOMATIC DOORS

Automatic doors are powered by a motor, which allows the door to open and close automatically.

There are three options for automatic door activation

• Pressure Sensor- a floor mat which reacts to the pressure of someone standing on it.
• Microwave Sensor- a motion sensor which uses low power microwaves to detect movement and open the doors accordingly.
• Infrared Sensor- an electronic sensor triggered by a remote.

In addition to active sensors, automatic doors are generally fitted with safety sensors. These are usually infrared curtains or beams. These prevent the door opening or closing if an object is detected in it's path.
